  • Q. Which rooms are currently available?
  • A. Our rooms tend to fill very quickly, the best way to keep informed is to join our Facebook page.
  • Q. Do you have any rooms in North, East, West London?
  • A. Our rooms are currently located in South West London.
  • Q. What deposit do I need to pay?
  • A. We require a deposit of 6 weeks rent. This is kept in a separate account. It is our policy to refund deposits within 7 days of your departure.
  • Q. Do you require references?
  • A. Yes. We use online referencing for your convenience. It consists of landlords, employers referencing and a credit check.
  • Q. How is rent paid?
  • A. Rent is paid monthly by standing order.
  • Q. Who will the other housemates be?
  • A.  You’ll be living with other working professionals. The age range is 20-30s and a mix of girls and guys, which gives a great sense of community! We’re understand the importance of having like-minded housemates, and select those who are friendly, courteous and respectful.
  • Q. Can I meet the other housemates before I move in?
  • A. Sure. Once you’ve viewed a room and wish to move in, we’ll organise a time for you for a get together with your future housemates.
  • Q. Will my possessions be safe?
  • A.  City Sharers properties feature security lighting / CCTV / 24/7 monitored alarm systems. Room doors are lockable and the front doors to the properties are double locked. That said, we do not take responsibility for your possessions and advise residents to take out insurance policies for any particularly valuable items.
  • Q. Who do I contact if something stops working?
  • A. Each property has a dedicated manager and 24/7 online fault reporting. We’ve set things up so any issue you have can be addressed quickly and without unnecessary delay, and you’ll be kept informed of any repairs and their status.
  • Q. What is your response time?
  • A. Whatever the issue, we aim to respond within 1 business day to any item raised. We will try and troubleshoot over the phone, if not one of our property managers will visit to find the source of the problem.
  • Q. Is it ok for my girlfriend / boyfriend / mum / brother to move in
  • A. Most of our rooms are for single occupancy. While your friends and guests are more than welcome to visit and stay over, they should not move in without prior agreement. This is to limit the number of people living in a house at one particular time. However we will always do our best to accommodate people who’d like to move in as a couple in one of our larger rooms.
  • Q. Are pets allowed?
  • A. Depending on what they are! City Sharers and existing housemates will have to agree.
  • Q. Do I need my own furniture?
  • A. Each room comes furnished with a double bed and mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and some come with desks and sofas. Items not included are bedsheets, pillows and towels. The common areas of the properties are fully furnished.
  • Q. Do I need my own things for the kitchen?
  • A. Each kitchen is kitted out with appliances, pots, pans and utensils.
  • Q. Are there outside areas at the properties?
  • A. Yes, our properties tend to have a nice garden with bbq area and seating for the use of the residents. A gardener visits in summer months.
  • Q. What is your smoking policy
  • A. Smoking is only permitted in the garden areas of our properties and not in the properties themselves.
